This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!

Day 14 by Ward
We left the Ramada Inn at 6:30 AM on Victoria Ave which becomes Trans Canada 1. The Garmin said get on the road and go to Whitewood with no bends. We had a following wind out of the NW which really helped. The shoulder was pretty good and we made good time. We made about 25km per hour. Later in the afternoon the wind shifted to the north and then NE. Ouch. We had a great picnic in Wolsely. We all had a chocolate ice cream cone. Picnic bench under some shade. The information booth was manned by two men one of which is the mayor of Wolsely. Gotta luv a small town. We arrived in Whitewood in good shape. The Quest motel is clean and modest. Protein drink and shower really helped. The dinner options are not great but whatever...Off to Brandon tomorrow.
