This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!

Ward's first post--rest day in Regina
Yesterday we did 200km with a bright sun and a tough south and north east wind. We were tired when we hit Regina. We really needed a day of rest. So did god after 6 days, and we did 11. Regina is a bustling prairie town. Shopping at the bike store for tires etc and the health food store for protein supplements started the day. We had breakfast and lunch at a diner next door. Gordon and I had a much needed massage and now he is at an Imax movie while we rest. Off bright and early in the morning with some concerns as it is a wasteland from here to Brandon.
