My Heroes,
Madge's blog about yesterday's slog inferred something less than constant joyfulness. Long, long climbs and rain. That has to be the worst - but your smiles post-ride demonstrate a tremendous sense of satisfaction as the end of it all. Many congratulations.
As I write, I'm watching you. 3.87 miles, av. speed of 7.29 mph so far. The forecast suggests you might be heading into rain again. Ugh. I seem to be at this screen all the time these days, watching, waiting for en route photos, and Madge's blog at the end of day. It's called infatuation.
Fingers crossed for satisfactory weather. The climbs look OK ..... for elite athletes like you.

This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!
good going gang! Catherine
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to share your journey via blog! You are certainly not boring people anymore. With love and admiration from Annie in Arizona
