This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!

Superior to Ironwood
We left at 6:45 ( a new record) with fog and cold. We both had layers on. At KM 14 I had a flat: number 5 all on the rear wheel. Gordon has had none. What's with that. Starting to think we do not have enough tubes so Madge bought some in Ashland. Anyway the fog cleared and the sun came out and it got hot. The girls caught up to us so we took off our layers. The ride was fun with lots of scenery and quite a few towns. We had another great picnic at a beach at Ashland. Pretty view of Superior. Ashland is a very cute town. We did 167 KM so a long day and the wind was out of the SE so we fought it a lot. Still a nice ride. The Comfort Inn is nice and we had a hot tub and a swim. All cleaned up and soon it is drink time. Yeah
