Saw the boys off about 7:30. Sou decided to stay with Olin and I to have breakfast and catch up on paperwork. I had time to catch up on my blog entries a little and then it was off to the playground. We left the hotel just before 10. Followed the "old" road to Grand Falls. Stopped at the falls, although it was a disappointing show as the damn was partially closed. Great rocks to look at though. Afterwards, we followed hwy. 105 on the east side of the St. John River. Kind of a tertiary road but no traffic. Found our cyclists and then Sou joined them. Further along we found road closure signs which involved some back tracking. We then crossed the river to rte. 130 to Perth Andover. Olin had a nap during all this so he was ready for a snack as we arrived. It must be New Brunswick because the local bakery had fresh rolls for sale! Now off to the grocery store to do a much-needed shop. Then we set up our picnic beside the river in the shade. Hot, tired riders arrived. After lunch, Sou elected to drive with Olin and I. Good choice as it was a hilly drive and we heard afterwards that there was a brisk head wind. After arriving at the hotel we headed to the pool as soon as possible. Sou was a huge help lugging in the suitcases. Ward and I drove to Fredricton to pick up Andrew who was flying in from Vancouver. Plane was delayed of course. Should be interesting getting up tomorrow!
