Fredricton to Saint John

Boys left around 7.  Got a little shopping done before going back to the hotel to load up Sou and Olin.  We got on the road just before 10.  They had had a swim and practiced violin.  Drove along the river and down to Gagetown before stopping for coffee!  Then onwards to our first ferry at Evandale.  Caught up to the boys who were having a restaurant breakfast!  Sou joined the ride.  Too bad her first task was to ride up a huge, long hill!  Wow!  Olin and I then drove to the next ferry which crosses the beautiful Belleisle.  Stopped for ice cream and waited for the riders on the dock.  Olin fell asleep before the last ferry at Gondola Point so when he woke up we had to go back and forth on the ferry again.  We then drove along the Kennebecasis River and landed in to a warm welcome from the Brett's.  The riders arrived soon afterward and immediately we all jumped into the hot tub.  What a beautiful night we had--good friends, good food, good weather and the knowledge that tomorrow would be a day off!
