Beautiful scenery of flat fields bordering the mighty river and surrounded by hills, some of them the "lumpy" ones which we had started to notice the day before. Soon we turned south and it became quite forested and hilly. Stopped for lunch at a park with a covered picnic table, Ward's mum would have liked that! Olin and I stopped at a boat launch so he could have a swim and catch minnows. A nice break for us both. Just before arriving at our hotel, Olin and I found a restored fort at Edmundston and had a nice tour. His chosen career is now "soldier". Tonight is the Days Inn, rooms backing onto the highway but at least they are on the ground floor. Simple supper at the nearby restaurant.
