Saint John to Shediac

Four riders left about 7:30.  Lorne drove them back to where they had to go off course for the Saint John sojourn with the Bretts.  Olin and I waited until Lorne was ready to take Olin for another zodiac ride.  This time Olin was allowed to steer the outboard motor!  We left about 10, then had a shopping stop at Sussex.  Tried to get a good picnic spot but we ended up in the hot sun.  Got everyone fed and watered at least.  Olin and I then took the faster road to Shediac and the ultimate goal of Parlee Beach.  Unfortunately when we had almost arrived, the riders phoned to say that Sou bike had blown the whole tire and she could not ride anymore.  So we reversed and drove backwards for half an hour.  Found poor Sou under a shade tree near Salisbury.  Drove back through Moncton, got to the Parlee Beach Motel and quickly unloaded before heading to this great beach.  Shallow waters even after the tide is in.  Lovely and warm.  Lots of people still at the beach in the early evening.  Dinner followed and then the usual early bed.  A bit of a pattern!
