Hi All,
Very happy to see you are finally taking a much needed rest break with Eric, Lori and lovely little Mila!
Your accounts and pictures of the trip are excellent. I'm glad Helen was with you Madge as company, for this first part of the journey. I think when you hit Ottawa area, John and Gail will try to get together with you as well.
I continue to be amazed, gobsmacked by the stamina of the bikers Ward and Gordon. You're just like all true adventurers who, when asked the question - Why do you do these challenging feats - i.e. climb mountains, cross deserts, usually is - "Just because "it" (mountain) is there" Simplistic answer - so much more to it than that.
In any case, I and many others, cheer you on, and secretly wish they had the courage and fortitude to do the same.
Continued good weather when you resume, and don't forget to take those needed, rewarding breaks!
Love to all your family, and to the sweetest little member, Mila.
Hugs Nettie
This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!
