This is the story of how boring people can sometimes do exciting things. In this case father and son are going to bike across Canada in what will be either a great bonding experience or a lengthy estrangement. We are lucky enough to have Madge to support us on this ride and to be joined by Andrew, Souhaila, Marlie, Tom and Helen (And Olin of course). May we be strong of body and mind and may the wind be forever at our backs!

Sault Michigan
Goodbye Lake Superior. It is one big sucker. Next is Lake Huron and Ontario. Anyhoo we left at 6:45 with a SW wind that was with us all day. The weather was sunny and warm but not hot and the road is good. Ideal for biking. We did 190 KM with an average speed of 27 KM/hour. We saw two cranes with red at their necks. Very majestic. The road was very straight and often a lot of nothing. A few small towns. Arrived at a nice motel at 3:00 and Gordon and I had our protein drink and off to the pool. Tomorrow we cross back into Canada and off to Blind River. Hwy 17 is a crappy road but Gordon has found an alternative that hopefully will take it out of play. Happy Canada Day.
